|Legal Quick Hit: How to Insulate or Minimize Liability of Owners and Managers Against Violent Crimes Committed Against Third Person on Your Real Estate in the US|
|Date/Time||Thursday, May 7, 2015 at 7:00 PM GMT/UTC
Back by popular demand from the Real Estate Committee's February presentation, this legal quick hit will center on simple steps that can be taken to dramatically reduce the likelihood of successful lawsuits against property owners. Such steps are seldom, if ever, considered by the persons at the top of the management/ownership chain, when they should be initiated at such high levels, even at the stage of property acquisition. Real estate lawyers, who are always at the center of planning, development and monitoring of properties, are perhaps in one of the best positions to protect the public, save money for ownership entities and, in the process, establish their clients as good guys, rather than greedy money grabbers.
