Issues of data security and privacy are an increasingly significant for all companies, regardless of their size or industry segment.  Multinationals like Sony and Lockheed have recently reported significant data breaches.  Smaller companies are now regularly dealing with breaches and entering into regulatory settlements as a result.  In this environment, corporate counsel need to understand the regulatory landscape and the risks their own companies face, so they can help their companies anticipate and respond to these evolving challenges.
