The ACC Foundation in partnership with the Hispanic National Bar Association ("HNBA") invite you to join us for a special webcast highlighting opportunities to provide pro bono legal services in areas that have been affected by recent natural disasters.
2017 was the costliest year on record for natural disasters in the United States, with hundreds of lives lost, millions of individuals impacted, and a price tag of over $300 billion.  In Puerto Rico alone, millions of U.S. citizens have gone months without power, drinkable water, or even roofs for their homes. At times like these, lawyers have unique skillsets and access to resources that can truly make a difference! The time is now to mobilize!

This webcast will feature representatives from pro bono organizations in Florida, Texas, California, Louisiana and Puerto Rico and will highlight the specific needs and pro bono opportunities each of these locations have relative to the recent natural disasters that have occurred.  Whether it is helping with insurance claims, landlord/tenant issues, employment issues, indigent criminal defense, or simply helping displaced individuals enroll their children in school when the documentation normally required is literally under water, there are opportunities for attorneys in nearly every practice area to lend a helping hand.
