The Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General outlined the basics of an effective Compliance Program for all healthcare providers in its initial Program Guidance in1998. Last year, in 2017, OIG issued the publication "Measuring Compliance Program Effectiveness: A Resource Guide," which amplified the practical guidance around the fundamental elements of a health care Compliance Program.  We have learned a great deal in the generation between the initial guidance and the latest OIG resource guide.  As health care lawyers and compliance professionals have upped our game, the government has come to expect more from our clients and our programs.  Hear from both outside and in-house counsel about the tools and strategies that will separate your Compliance Program from the rest.  Learn what it means to run an effective Compliance Program in the midst of stepped up compliance enforcement and a national opioid crisis.
