Social media is now ubiquitous and lawyers must know how to use and manage social media in an ethically compliant manner.   Womble Carlyle Deputy General Counsel, Alison Bost, will discuss what unique social media ethics issues may arise when a lawyer is involved as counsel in a litigation matter.  We will also discuss what Rules of Professional Conduct apply when a lawyer communicates generally over social media with current, former and prospective clients.  Finally, we will explore the ways to manage the ethical risks presented by social media for today’s compliance industry lawyers.
