Feeling overwhelmed and overcommitted? ACC's leadership network, Women in the House Group, and New-to-In-house Committee members are invited to join us for a discussion lead by Executive Coach Heather Neely to learn how to stop overcommitting and overwhelming yourself personally and profession. We all have a certain habit or way that we overcommit whether as the hero, or through hopefulness and fantasy of getting it all done. Unfortunately, these habits lead to moods such as overwhelm, resentment and resignation. Time is finite and so is our energy.

Therefore, in order to restore a sense of balance in our lives we have to learn the skills that support us in managing our capacity and work/life balance. In this session, you will learn:

  • How to identify your habit/habits of over commitment that keep pulling you into overwhelm.
  • How to make trustworthy and sustainable promises, including through conversations for renegotiation and declining with dignity and grace.
  • How to identify the circles of feelings that you may go through when overcommitted.
