The panel will discuss important patent cases from 2017 and what the opinions in those cases mean to in-house counsel, including observations regarding trends in the law.  Practical tips on evaluating patent applications in light of new pronouncements by the Federal Circuit on patent-eligible subject-matter and indefiniteness will be provided.  Controversial decisions regarding the on-sale bar and lost-profits damages will also be discussed.  Multiple other topics will be addressed as well.
